I have stumbled upon a great resource for all Google tools and applications called Google Gooru. This site has short video clips answering common questions and explaining topics from beginner to advance users.
If you click on this link Google Gooru, it will bring you to the site.
I was looking for a site to explain Google presentations and I happen to come across Google Gooru.
Here is a sample video from that site.
I love this! What I love most is that students might even love it! Especially because our middle schoolers are so independent and want to figure things out on their own, this resource in and of itself could be used as a lesson. Research shows that one of the best ways to retain new learning is to be able to show/explain/teach to others. Wouldn't it be neat to ask students to use this resource to each learn how to do a different and new skill with their google tools and then teach it to the rest of us? Tutorial sites are so vital to a student-centered inquiry-based 21st Century style of the teaching/learning process.
Agreed! It certainly puts the learning in the students hands and lets the teacher be facilitator rather than the person who disseminates the knowledge.
What a great way to enhance a Google Presentation. This tool may help students get away from the same old same old in their presentations! Thanks for sharing!
