In this Google course, I have learned how to better use the tools that I have been using for some time now. Forms and Blogger are now my new besties. I still need to learn how to use Google Sketch Up, but I am so excited that the links will still be available to go back to and learn from later on in the school year. It is also super exciting that the links will be there for my students to use as well.
I look forward to reconstructing our team website with some of the comments that have been shared, for example having math, language arts and 21st century open up in separate tabs or separate sites so that the web site doesn't get too crowded. I look froward to using gadgets on the team website, such as the calendar, to show long term goals for all students. I never knew that ownership of a site could be shared, but now that I know this, I will be able to share ownership with our student website upkeep team, with my teammate's permission, of course :)
I wish that I could have had the opportunity to be in a group with people that were at the same place that I was at with Google tools. Sometimes I was feeling like people were becoming frustrated with the pace, whether it was too fast or too slow. I really liked the time we had to work independently and were able to explore topics on our own or with a small group of people. If a Google Tools for Schools 2 were to be given, that continued on from where we left off, I would take it. I love to keep learning and at least only be 2 steps behind the kids, technologically!
